Why does my Organic baby jarred food contain ascorbic acid?

Ascorbic acid is Vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for young babies to maintain general health and aid the absorption of iron that is crucial to early physical and neurological development.

 

When should I start my baby on solid food?

Check with your pediatrician before introducing any solid foods. Physical signs baby may be ready:

  • Sits with support and has good head control.

  • Doubled birth weight and weighs at least 13 pounds

  • Continues to be hungry after 8-10 breast feedings or 32 ounces of formula in a day.

Remember your baby will help you to know when the time is right, and be patient!

 

Do the jarred foods have to be heated?

Organic Baby jarred food can be served at room temperature. If you need to warm the product remove the baby food from the jar and warm in a microwave safe dish. Always check the temperature before serving the warmed food to your baby.

 

Does the frozen baby food have to be heated?

The frozen baby food can be thawed in the refrigerator overnight, or heated in a sauce pan or microwave.

 

How do I warm the frozen baby food?

Peel back the film from the frozen tray, pop out the portion(s) needed, return remaining portions to the freezer. You can heat in a small saucepan over low heat or place in a microwave safe dish and heat for 15-20 seconds. Always test the baby food’s temperature before serving to baby.

 

Are your products kosher?

Yes, all Organic Baby products, jarred and frozen, are certified kosher.

 

Do Organic Baby products contain salt?

None of the Organic Baby products contain added salt.

 

How do I store unopened jars?

Store in a cool, dry area that is not exposed to heat. Do not allow the product to freeze.
